J. A. W. Land Services has been servicing the needs of property owners–rural and residential, since 2018. We began our services by mowing and maintaining St. Louis County, MO lawns. Over time, the business evolved into a land grading, fieldwork, and slope management company.
Over the years, we've expanded beyond St. Louis County, serving more of Rosebud, Missouri, Gasconade County, and surrounding areas. J. A. W. Land Services is your go-to for property and land management services–from fieldwork and leveling land to mowing steep slopes, levees, pond dams, and other rugged terrain areas.
Property & Land Management Services We Provide
Field Mowing: Transforming neglected unusable fields into usable land. We mow small plots of land up to a few acres or more!
Slope Mowing: We provide folks with slope mowing, which can vary from mowing a pond, dam, levee, or just a steep hill on a property that is tough to maintain with a standard tractor. Using our brush-hog attachment, we can mow slopes up to 30 degrees!
Mow Retention Ponds: Retention Ponds are manufactured ponds that hold stormwater and runoff water. The vegetation surrounding the retention pond keeps it from eroding. Retention ponds need routine mowing for them to function properly. It's also important not to over-mow, as the vegetation captures pollutants before they run into the water.
Underbrush Removal: This service is performed on areas of property cluttered with overgrown weeds, saplings, and debris that keep you from using that space. Underbrush removal gives your property a boost of curb appeal and helps reclaim the land's functionality.
Land Clearing: We do small land-clearing projects, such as knocking down trees up to 8 inches in diameter, clearing invasive shrubs, leveling the land, and moving materials around the property.
Gravel Driveway Restoration: We comb over gravel driveways with our power rake to loosen up the existing rock and create a new driveway. The power rake is great for removing and fixing potholes that have formed in the gravel driveway over time.
Skid Steer Grading: If you need to level out land on your property for a new project, clear overgrown brush, or level the land for better drainage, our skid steer grading services transform properties!
Meet Justin!
Hi, I'm Justin Wulsch, founder and owner of J.A.W. Land Services. I enjoy working outdoors and helping customers make their landscape dreams come true. I started J.A.W. Land Services in the suburbs of St. Louis county, cutting lawns, and the business evolved into a land grading and slope management company as time passed.
Growing up, I always loved going to our family farm and working on projects that required equipment. Whether it was cutting the grass, cleaning up overgrown trails, fixing the gravel driveway, or leveling off an area for a new structure. Over the years, I have gotten more equipment, trying out different land management projects with them. I had the opportunity to move to our family farm in Rosebud, Missouri. Once I made that move, I knew I wanted to work more locally and provide a service more unique than other providers. I purchased a Ventrac from the local dealer, and the journey began.
Our Equipment
Power Rake
We use our power rake for various tasks, like gravel driveway restoration and prepping the soil for seeds and sod. The power rake loosens the existing rock and gravel to create a new-looking driveway without bringing in new material. The power rake is excellent for fixing and removing potholes, washboard areas, and even washouts on gravel roads.
Ventrac- 8 Wheels
The Ventrac is a compact, versatile tractor used for field, pasture, and slope mowing. The Ventrac has a low impact on existing grass and foliage, creating virtually no soil compaction! With the brush-hog attachment, we can mow steep slopes up to 30 degrees and retention ponds. We use the brush hog to clear trails and other hard-to-mow areas. The dual tires allow us to cut in areas that hold water and doesn't dry out often
Skid-Steer
The skid-steer turns a hard job into an easy job. Like the Ventrac, our skid steer is a versatile machine used for various jobs. We use our skid steer for small brush and land-clearing projects, spreading rock and dirt, and snow removal!
